21Qs - #19: What about Service?

Now is a good time to take a look at what we do for others . . .

aka the service we provide. For some, they serve in our military or as a First Responder, Police, Firefighter or Doctor, Nurse, etc. And for all of their service, we all should be appreciative.

But what then of us? Are you at least doing something that helps others?

For example, I saw on the news tonight of a woman who (in looking out her window) saw three young kids fall through the ice in a 15 foot deep pond. She ran out and jumped in and got each of the kids out (that is selfless service and we thank her). So, if you are finding ways to help others, thank you but if not, why not? And as you think about this, I offer the following for your added consideration.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24
