2BW: Blend In

Where our first 2BW (a few weeks back) challenged us to be a warrior and not a worrier . . .

we build upon that foundation with this: To be weak, one just needs to blend in with the crowd. It is the way to get by and to get along.

To be strong in your convictions, you will need to stand up for what you believe is right and needed.

But can you and will you?

This is hard because it is easier to go along then to stand up for what we know inside of us – as to what is needed to be understood and done. Now, what those thing are – can be so many things for everyone.

It could be standing up for others when they are being bullied by words or actions; it could be the need to report someone who tries to steal or swindle others; it could be the need to walk away when the group you are with wants to do something you disagree with.

So please, stand up for and do what is needed, when needed and if you're not sure what those are – consider the words that you can find in Isaiah 1:17 (I think they are great ones to embrace).

"Learn to do good, seek justice, defend the cause of the fatherless and plead the case for the widow."
