# 77 (Why Not?) Strive for Harmony . . .

The 'Summer of 2020' has been one of the most stressed, angry, frustrating . . .

and divisive ones that we have had.

Why is that?

Most likely it is caused by the pent up frustrations & anger building within people due to racial actions of abuse, of the desire of those who want to see chaos, and sadly – there looks to be political games as well being pursued. All doing so to gain an advantage.

Now, issues are real and change is needed but how best to get those visible and addressed? I have never thought that two wrongs make a right and I would encourage everyone to think "Am I viewing (understanding) everything correctly?" I think too often people people react and then run off doing what they think is right vs slowing down and thinking . . . are there other perspectives on this, what are the different way to view and address this, what approaches will help and which ones will hurt? Yes, the challenges of today would be far fewer if everyone started from a foundation of 'strive for harmony' but when we don't have that harmony, why not strive for being effective toward the changes needed and ensure not being effective in making a bad situation worse?

And yes, doing the right things in all situations is easier said then done. But shouldn't each of us look at how we treat others, how we take on issues or challenges and determine if there are better approaches and if yes, pursue the better? Thanks for thinking about this and remember . . .

"Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind." 1 Peter 3:8
