Brick 6: Honor

We all have a lot that unfolds upon us and for the most part, I think we all would say 'we are doing the best that we can'. And that is goodness. But, what if we also challenged ourselves to Pursue honor as best we could while we are taking on the ups & downs of life? I bet you are now thinking . . . 'Whoa – that adds a bit more of a challenge'.

I'd then respond, 'Yes it does'. Which leads to the Q . . . 'Are you up to it?'

And as you start to think if your answer is yes or no, consider these words from Charles M. Blow “One doesn't have to operate with great malice to do great harm. The absence of empathy and understanding are sufficient.”

Now, as to why think about these words? Because we all need to think and to determine what are the words, the ideas, the aspects that we would attribute to honor? And then once we have a good grasp of what it is – we then have to see if we have embraced it or not

(and if not, why not).

So, thank you for considering all of this and remember . . .

You know the commandments,

‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud,

Honor your father and mother'.
