Aka Character Matters. As of this writing – the 18th of October, 2022 . . . we see a world that has a lot more ugly going on and too little respect, compassion and honor.

Which means this – for all our grandkids out in today's world – who you are today, may be a work in process. That being – look, learn and pursue what will help you to become the type of person that you want to become. And yes, living through your teen years is just the start.
You'll find that the what you like and dislike, is becoming clear. But the what you can do, the how much you can handle is still a few years yet ahead. There is a saying . . . adversity doesn't develop your character, it reveals it. That is good to know but what you don't know – until you live it, is that adversity is not a one & done situation. Unfortunately, tough times will pop up more than anyone wants in their life. And that means you will have some tough times before you are ready for them (trust me).

It could be something your friends will do, that will impact you, or someone or something will blow you out of the water. So then, what can you do? Start learning and prepare aka working on the things that will help you over your years ahead. Character Matters – please make sure yours does. Love! Gramps
P.S. After posting the above, I then saw these words from Eleanor Roosevelt . . .
“People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built.”
These are great to consider as well.
And remember for character building: 1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!
