Dear GKs Insight #22 (Know who you are)

Hey Grandkids, we all have times when we wish we were more like person x or y or z.

But in reality we always end up back where we began – with ourselves. And you know what?

That is goodness. As to why? We all are different and we are able to learn, to think and to take action. And it is in what we do for each of those – that makes all of the difference.

So please, don't get caught up always looking around at others. Sure, it's okay to see who is doing what, when, where, how, etc . . . but do so for your own learning.

You are an amazing young individual. You are having experiences that are unique to you, and your insights gained are what will guide you for your years ahead. Watch for those who are kind, helpful, respectful and try to do what is always right. They tend to be the ones who will achieve move then those who move within the 'mob of let's do this or let's do that'.

Keep circling back to developing your skills, your knowledge, your 'you being you' and in doing so, make sure all of your efforts are on making you the best version of who you want to be. And you know what? As you do so, there are others out there who are watching you and may want to be more like you.

So please, don't be an imitation of others, be a great version of you.
