LN#12: Love your kids . . .

Today is a good day – if you have not done so in a while, to pause and to reflect.

On what? That being on the time you are spending with your kids.

Why? Because it is so easy to get 'heads down' and focused on all the challenges that we as parents can get caught up in.

So yes, there is a chance that our kids may not understand all that we have going on, because they are trying to navigate their way through their challenges.

That means that we need to (as best we can) show our kids that we love them.

How?

1) Don't spoil them.

2) Challenge, coach and cheer them on (because too soon, they will be out on their own).

3) Listen to them (not that you have to agree with all that they say or want, but so they know you do listen to them).

Thanks for thinking about this little nudge (LN) because sometimes that is all we need in order to do what we need to do.
