To do or not . . .

Wouldn't it be great if the way to work your way through life, was a series of yes/no and do/don't situations? Well, as our years roll on, we see that now and then, but most likely few and far between. For example . . .

A few thousand years ago, these words by Hippocrates were good and for the most part – have stood the test of time: “Make a habit of two things – to help, or at least, to do no harm.” That is great to embrace but how do you know if what you doing is helping or hurting the need or situation unfolding? And that is where the black & white and all the gray in between unfolds.
So, if you want to do your kids a favor, think about this and how you would have a good discussion on this with them. For example – should you always tell the truth or are there times . . . a bit not is best?
What about helping someone out versus realizing it may be best for them to 'learn the hard way'??? And yes, if there are times
in your past, when you can share with them what you did wrong, to help them avoid the same mistakes . . . isn't that what being a parent is all about?
So please, think on this and do something (and make sure it is good).
